Overview This year's Uniform Data System Training is taking place virtually on November 12th, 13th, and 16th, 2020. This three-day online training will cover the preparation of the 2020 Uniform Data System (UDS Report). Attendees will understand the who, what, when, where, and how of UDS reporting, discuss common reporting errors, and review key resources and supports available. Participants should plan to attend all sessions for a full and comprehensive understanding of the complete UDS report. Audience: This virtual UDS training is designed as an all-levels program and open to all. Health center staff that report or use patient demographics, staffing utilization, telehealth, costs and revenue, and HIT information are encouraged to attend this training. There are no prerequisites or advanced preparation required for the training. Objectives Over the course of three days, this training will allow participants to: - Learn how to successfully complete the UDS Report, and how to avoid and resolve potential reporting issues.
- Understand the value of the UDS for health center operations and to the health center program, and receive tips to facilitate a successful submission.
- Describe the role and importance of UDS data to population health management.
- Identify strategies to use UDS data to inform patient care and improve health outcomes (quality improvement).
- Learn about ways to apply the use of UDS data in operational and fiscal considerations (value-based care, patient stratification, etc.).
- Identify at least one data validation priority for your health center, and one way to use trend report tools to benchmark your center's performance.

Speaker
Bio: Ellen Radis, M.M.H.S., is a senior program manager at AHP who has more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health and health systems of care around quality improvement, workforce development, training and technical assistance, and behavioral health integration. Ms. Radis has been involved in training and TA throughout her career and has worked with the UDS for seven years as both a reviewer and trainer. In addition, she has also been involved in developing TA resources, such as websites and training materials for SAMHSA and HRSA initiatives. Ms. Radis started her career in direct services before becoming an HR Director and later managed QI and accreditation for several organizations. She is currently the sub-contract manager for the HRSA BPHC-funded UDS for Health Centers Project, which supports the annual collection of UDS data from more than 1,400 federally funded health centers.
